There is a shortage of accurate statistics, but existing research suggests that children with disabilities are significantly left behind or abandoned by their birthing family due to multiple socioeconomic factors including extreme poverty, high inflation, and lack of resources required for the special care of children with disabilities as a result these children end up either begging on the roads or dumped in mental asylums where they face the worst violation of their basic human rights and are literally treated like animals tied in chains with rotten food being served and rooms equal to prison cells where mites and rats roam freely over their immobile bodies.
